PHP was the language that I cut my Web Teeth on. I explored both ASP (Active Server Pages) and PHP before settling on
PHP, these were basically the only two scripting choices for web backends when I started out. I choose PHP because it
had much better error handling and in my opinion a nicer syntax. The other big draw to me for PHP was that hosting
back in those days was cheaper than with ASP, and sometimes even free.
PHP is still a common part of my toolbox, although it is no longer the primary language I develop in, it is used a lot
by off the shelf CMS (Content Management System) and so I still do programming in it. Durning my time with PHP I have
developed my skills in the language. I am fluent in all aspects of the language and developing good Object
Orientated programs.
